Upgrade vcsa 6.0 to vcsa 6.5 failed

Hello,

I'm still struglling to complete my upgrade of vcsa. What I did is :

1- chose the upgrade path

2- chose my source vcsa source

3- chose the esx that contain my source

4- deploy my target on the same esx (I have enough resource for the both of them)

5- complete stage 1

Start stage 2 :

1- starting the upgrade

2- pre-check failed with the warning message that my esx shouldn't have DRS activated

But DRS is off on my cluster ... so I don't know why I get this message. I join the file upgrade-source-requirements.log

Thks for your help

Small clarification.

Did it threw warning and allowed to proceed further or it failed?

Error was for a different reason which need to debug and identify.

DRS was only Warning you get when you choose ESXi as a traget which is part of cluster (irrespective of DRS is enabled or disabled).

I need bootstrap.log from 6.5 appliance to see what the exact issue is.

I think I got the error. Could you please check the 6.0 PSC cert does it has IP address in it's SAN field.

Here is the snip from vc-support.

<snip>

                "vecs.cert.ipaddresses": null,  ------> This is the problem I think.

                "vecs.cert.dnsnames": "svc1.localdomain",

                "vecs.cert.cn": "svc1.localdomain",

                "appliance.net.pnid": "svc1.localdomain"

</snip>

The problem is that the Network interface is not eth0. If you re-name it to eth0 and run it should succeed.

Please update the results once you try the above.

Thanks

Sukumar.

Hello,

Sorry but, I didn't wait enough your response and I have restarted every thing with a fresh install. So I can't tell if it was the good reason.

Thks anyway.
