I'm currently in the process of upgrading from ESXi 5.1 to ESXi 6.0.
Normally I would do a fresh install, however on this occasion I've opted to select the upgrade option.
To do the upgrade I am using a custom HP ESXi Image as this will contain all the latest drivers for the physical host.
I'm assuming that all the latest drivers will install even though I've chosen the upgrade as opposed to a fresh installation?

Yes, the drivers included in the HP Customized ISO will get installed automatically during an upgrade just like during a fresh install.
