Today I applied an upgrade baseline for ESXi 7.0.2 to one of my hosts (7.0.1).
I'm a bit surprised that I have to accept a "Beta" EULA (see image).
I downloaded the iso from the official release channel (VMware-VMvisor-Installer-7.0U2-17630552.x86_64.iso)
Anyone else seen this?
@microlytix - could you share what your Upgrade Baseline looks like, and double check the Build/ISO used there? Attached is my reproduction in a lab, and I didn't encounter this.
is the U1 host or vCenter Server you're using running on a Beta build?
@blarblarblarhere's my imported iso and my baseline.
Build numbers are the same.
Neither host nor vc were running on beta builds.
Thanks, @microlytix ! Are you running a U2 vCenter Server - or what build are you using for vCenter?
Thanks @blarblarblar
Before upgrading hosts, I've updated vCenter with VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-7.0.2.00000-17694817-patch-FP.iso
Side note: I could run pre checks in VAMI (green), but I wasn't able to stage or remediate (links greyed).
I did the last two or three vc updates on the CLI without issues.
Thanks again, @microlytix . I was able to reproduce internally, and have passed it onto engineering; we're looking at resolving the issue. Thanks for the assistance with the builds to help me track it down.
Hello,
Can you share the PR number that was used to inform VMware Engineering.
We may have a duplicate case here & i would like to link it to the master PR number
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Fabien
