Upgrade path from vCenter 5.1 build 880146 to vCenter 5.1 update 1

Hi Guys,

I have two vCenter servers 5.1 Build 880146 - these both vCenter servers are configured in linked mode configuration and SSO is also configured on Multi site mode. Now I'm planning to upgrade both the vCenter servers to 5.1 update 1.

Need guidance to to upgrade both the vCenter servers and its components like SSO, inventory service and update manager.

Remove linked mode first then proceed to upgrade per normal. Use the Upgrade Guide to upgrade the components http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-51/topic/com.vmware.ICbase/PDF/vsphere-esxi-vcenter-server-51-upgrade.... After both vCenters have been upgraded, setup linked mode  again. The guide lists all the prerequisites and caveats you need for setting up linked mode.

ensure vCenter DB backup is taken before upgrade.
