Hi All,
I am running ESX 3.5 U4 on Blades that have solid state drives with iSCSI (software based initiator) as the SAN storage. The solid state drives do not have the required capacity to upgrade via Update manager or the host update utility (because I can only create a 3gb local datastore for the upgrade but it needs 9gb). iSCSI does not seem to work either.
Just checking that no one knows a way to do the upgrade without re-installing ESX 4.0 fresh from the DVD?
I would prefer not to have to setup all the networking again on each host, this is why upgrading is my prefered option opposed to re-installing the host.
