Unable to add ESX3i to vSphere 4 U1

Hi,

While trying to add ESX3i host to vSphere getting error message as "Cannot install the vCenter agent service. Cannot upload agent."

ESX3i build 238493

vSphere 4 build 208111

1. Check that do you have a licence for vCenter agent license for ESX3i host

2. Try to get the log for vpx installation error from /var/log/vmware path

3. Enable the root access for the ESX3i if not yet done.

4. Manually Install the vCenter agent

You must use a license server.

By default vCenter Server 4.x does not have.

Get from VMware site (from VI 3.5 downloads).

was the server already added in Virtual Center 2.5 did u disconnect the server from previous Virtual Center before adding to vCenter 4.0

It was not got added to VC 2.5. Same problem was there also.

I install successfully agent manually but problem is still there.
