Hello! Friends! I need your advice.
Today in organization we have vCenter 5.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2.
The goal is to transfer vCenter to new Windows Server (I have 2019 Windows Server)
I understand that I have very old version of vCenter, but today it impossible to upgrade it.
So, my plan:
1. stop vcenter services on Windows 2008 R2
2. Backup the vcenter database
3. Turn off the old server.
4. Creating a new server
5. On the new server, we deploy SQL, restore the database there from the backup.
6. Distribute the necessary rights to this database for accounting in the a vCenter.
7. Run vCenter installer, select the existing database, specify the login password to the database.
Will it work? How I understand it will not problems with working hypervisor hosts? And what about certificates?
Thank you!!!

You can migrate your Windows vCenter to an appliance: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.5/com.vmware.vsphere.upgrade.doc/GUID-9A117817-B78D-4BBE...

Thank for your help! So, I need you advice again.
Today I have vMware vCenter 5.5.0 and Hypervisor hosts version 5.1.0 (Release build-3070626 Sep 15 2015 05:29:41 x86_64 GNU/Linux).
I saw matrix and I see that I can update vsphere from 5.5.0 to 6.0.0 U2. Is it right?
And what about my hypervisors(5.1.0)? Could they work with this vCenter?
Interoperability between VMware solutions can be checked at https://interopmatrix.vmware.com/#/Interoperability. But ESXi 5.1is no longer on the list... Please consider upgrading to a supported version...
