Can anyone please help we get the following message
There are features currently in use that prevent license assignment
Features in use: VMotion
You must turn off these features in use in order to proceed with the assignment
This message is because you still have a VMkernel Port where the Port Properties has the VMotion box checked.
Once you uncheck the VMotion box, try to apply your licenses again.
Problem was caused by using vCenter we do not have a vCenter license just for ESX servers.
Uninstalled vCenter and was then able to use ESX licenses
Problem was detected by VMware technician using webex session.
