Regiser old VM's in Vsphere

Hi everyone,

Just a simple question: is it possible to unregister VI3 VM's in VirtualCenter 2.0, reregister them on ESX4 servers and upgrade them for ESX4 use?

Regards!

Joris

As long as your vsphere environment can see the correct data store you should just be able to browse for the VM a register as normal. Of course the VM won't be able to take advantage of the benefits of new virtual hardware like hot adding cpu's and memory as well as performance benefits. Details on upgrading VM hardware can be found here.
