Recommended vSphere partitioning and disk size when booting from SAN

I have been looking for a official VMWare recommendation for best practice partition sizes and boot disk size. We are setting up a new vSphere farm and all of the nodes will be booting from SAN so I can make the boot drive pretty much any size I want within reason of course. I have found some unofficial recommendations from non-vmware sources but I'm curious if there is a official vmware doc that recommends the best way to setup and size the partitions during the install.

Thanks

Robert
