REAL downgrade ESXi 7.0 Update 3 or Reinstall?

Some time ago I installed ESXi 7.0 U3 on a host (because at that time it was the latest downloadable version on the website)

While setting everything up (creating VMs, data migration, ...) there were no issues until last week we had a PSOD. After some (soul)searching I came to the following article ESXi 7.0 Update 3 host fails with a backtrace NMI IPI: Panic requested by another PCPU. (86100) (vmw...

When searching for a solution on (for example) downgrading ESXi they always assume that you already upgraded to 7.0.3 and never talk about a solution for when 7.0.3 was your initial installation.

Is there any REAL solution to this problem? What about reinstalling ESXi and importing everything again?

Hi,

If your first installed version is 7.0u3, you can't roll-back. Because you don't have any previous versions installed
If, on the other hand, you had for example 7.0u2 or 7.0u1 and you have updated Esxi to 7.0u3, you can do the roll-back procedure.
