hi

i have a problem with a LS22(IBM), when i install a new ESXi 5.0 on the server and reboot it the server can not boot ESXi, only show me a promt and can not start normally.

i tryed to install it  with Shift-O "runweasel formatwithmbr" and doesnt work

i had the same problem with a HX5 (IBM) and the i only enter in the BIOS and add the ESXi like another device to start and thats work for me, but with the LS22 i can not do that.

Someone can help me please.

Usually this happens for one of two reasons.  The first reason is would be your BIOS can't properly read a GPT partition.  The second would be if your BIOS is booting from the wrong drive.  Check your BIOS and make certain the drive you installed ESX to is the one which is set to boot.

hi PatrickD

You was right, the problem was caused by a problem with the boot secuence in the SAS card, when i entered in the configuration of te SAS card i found a problem in the secuence of the drives, i changed and the problem is solved now
