I have tried this with both an ESXi host as well as an ESX host. I have switched the install on one box between both hypervisors, as well as trying on a different box. I have redownloaded both hypervisors and checked to see they match the checksums, I have reinstalled the vSphere client from fresh downloads from both the host as well as from www.vmware.com/downloads.
Every time I try to connect to a host I get the same error. First I get:
Error parsing the server "192.168.2.195" "clients.xml" file. Login will continue, contact your system administrator.
After clicking OK, I get this error:
The type initializer for 'VirtualInfrastructure.Utils.HttpWebRequestProxy' threw an exception.
I would appreciate an suggestions or an explanation of what the issue is.
Thanks!
edited for spelling.
