PCI passthrough USB 3.0 PCI-e card won't apply, Ryzen 1800x

ESXI.PNG

I am trying to passthrough a USB 3.0 card specifically this one: Amazon.com: Inateck Superspeed 7 Ports PCI-E to USB 3.0 Expansion Card - 5 USB 3.0 Ports and 2 Rear ...

it's the second one I've tried. The device, after reboot still says "Enabled / Needs reboot"

I've tried changing PCI-e ports, I've tried a different card with a Renesas controller, but now I'm stumped. Is it a compatibility issue or is it a Ryzen problem? My motherboard is the MSI Gaming Pro Carbon AC x370 with the latest beta bios 2.55, I have turned on all the VM settings in the bios as well. I'm using Vsphere 6.5u1.

Is there a way to force it to apply the passthrough?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you checked the hardware compatibility list?
