Openning Ports in the Firewall

Running vSphere 5.0 & VMware EXSI 5.0 and I virtualized my exchange sever.   Looked into the security profile of VMware and port 25 for SMTP is not listed.  How do you open a port in the vmware?

The firewall is for the ESXi host's mgmt interface - there should be nothing to configure for your virtual machine networking.

How do you currently have the networking set up, and do you have other VMs on the same networking?

If you cannot telnet FROM your local exchange server to port 25 on your local Exchange server - a localhost connection, there is surely an issue with that VM.

My recommendation would be:

Remove the NIC from the VM

Remove the ghost NIC from Device Manager (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/241257?wa=wsignin1.0)

Add a new NIC - ensure it is vmxnet3 type

Reconfigure IP addressing

Reboot the VM

Tiberias.... what is that link supposed to help with?
