New HP ML350G8 no Disks on Raid Array Ctrl P420i

Hi,

how is the fastest way to install on a ML350G8 with Original VMware CD vSphere 5.0U1 the OS?

Is maybe the driver hpsa V5.0.0-24.0 from 2011-08-22 the right driver?

Who has done already a installation with the VMware vSphere CD 5U1 on a HP ML350g8 with the P420i Smart Aaray Controller?

ESXi 5.0U1 doesn't see any disc...

is the array controler on the HCL?

the server might be but the controller might not..

check out the hcl and see if you see your server and controller.

Actually no.

I was in the process of building a customized image myself using instructions found at http://blog.techmonkeys.co.uk/non-ms-os/installing-esxi5-on-a-hp-g8-not-as-easy-as-you-think/ when I saw your message.

I"m must confess your solution is much quicker, and it works right out of the box !

Thanks for the hint, I didn't know HP was providing VMware software.
