Nested VM

Hi

We have VSphere Version 5.1.0 Build 869765. I want to run HyperV on a vmware machine (Ver9).

I can't install the hyperV role as windows reports that cpu virtualization is off. Following this community doc http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-8970  I am trying to tun on "Expose hardware-assisted virtualization to the guest operating system" under the CPU of the VMWARE machine but the selections are greyed out. Any idea why?  TIA

It looks like your vm is hardware version 8?

From the community doc is says "Virtualized HV is fully  supported for virtual hardware version 9 VMs"
