We have received a vmware vsphere hypervisor license for the free ESXi 4.1 version of vmware.
Is this license key limited to use on only one server(host), or can we simultaneously use it on multiple servers?

You can legally use the license on multiple servers. At one point I believe the limit was 999 but I haven't looked lately.
you are allowed to use on multiple servers without breaching any licensing terms ..
As written there isn't a limit on the number of hosts.
And of course you can also use different email to ask for more serial.
