We have a Citrix XenApp server running Windows Server 2003 R2, this server has some Microsoft Access Runtime applications published from it which had been working fine up until Sunday when we upgraded virtual hardware and vmware tools on the guest, now any version of Microsoft Access Runtime I install crashes on any database we try to run.
This problem makes no sense in my mind, I have uninstalled VMware Tools and re-installed, also done the same with Access Runtime multiple times, I have tried it on other servers which also had their virtual hardware upgraded at the weekend which fail also, however I installed Access Runtime on a server which has not yet been upgraded and it works without a problem.
I'm at a loss, it appears either the upgrade to virtual hardware version 7, or the upgrade to VMware Tools has caused this but I have no idea why or even how this would happen.
