Logins created during upgrades

During past upgrades from 5.0 to 5.5 and 5.5 to 6, there were a couple of "admin" accounts created.  My question is, do we need to keep these accounts?  We do our quarterly access control audits, and we are always asked by the auditors about these logins.  Can these be safely removed?

No, do not remove them. Those are solution users and should not be modified.  They are in vCenter to provide internal service access and configuration. Having to remove them or modify them may brake your vCenter.
