Hi,
We currently have a VM environment in one DataCentre located in our office. We have vCenter Server install on a VM and it's DB instance is stored on different specified DB VM server. This implementation is working well, however we're setting up new infrastructure on in another DC in alternate building.
When deploying the new DB for the new vCenter Server can anyone advise of the following
- Install DB on existing server in existing location (I am curious to see what input of on this, I don't think it would be ideal to install this way)
- Install DB on a physical server in the new location (Is this a smarter option, would there be any benefits of running the SQL instance outside of the VM environment)
Also on a side note, I was also intrested in HeartBeat, can anyone offer some other solutions for this type of redundancy?
