Inventory Service Connecting to incorrect URL

Hi,

Having an issue with the inventory service trying to connect to HTTPS://DOMAIN.LOCAL:443

i am running vsphere 5.1

so running the register.bat command as per: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=201187...

there isnt a register.bat so that link in invalid.

i then went down the path of changing server from adsiedit, but it still trys to connect to https://domain.local:443

does anyone know how to change this with vsphere 5.1

Register.bat is for older version, not 5.1. You can follow the resolution section in this KB, in step 8 there is a link provided for registration guidelines in 5.1. Also pasting that link here:
