Intel NVME driver installation

Hello,

I am having trouble installing the Intel NVME driver on my 5.5.0 build. The error message I keep getting is "The transaction is not supported: VIB Intel..... cannot be live installed." I have shutdown and restarted the server, ensured it is in maintenance mode and dropped the driver support to community supported. I have also tried both the driver from the Intel site and the one on the VMWare site.

So for each driver I have tried doing the esxcli software vib install -v {VIBFILE} and the esxcli software vib install -d {OFFLINE_BUNDLE}. I get the same error no matter what driver or no matter whether I try online of offline install.

I have restarted a number of times and even tried adding --maintenance-mode to ensure the server is registering correctly.

Does any have any tips as I am not an expert and it has got me stuffed at this point.

deepaksel,

Thanks for the link unfortunately I do not think that is the problem as it is a 32Gb USB stick and the VMWare install is only a small percent of that. I am not entire sure how to determine what the volume usage is though as df -h just gives me the raid which has 145Gb free and the vdf -h give me the below listing which shows basically no usage of the ramdisk.

Is there another command that will show the space on a USB boot partition?
