Installation of ESXi 6.0 on Hyper-V Generation 2 VM

Hello,

i try to start the ESXi 6 Installation on a Generation 2 VM based on Hyper-V in Windows 10 (Build 14342)

It stucks at booting: "relocating modules ans starting up kernel"

I followed the tips from Installation onf ESXi5.5 on hyper V

2 CPUs and 4 GB of RAM

I used also the Boot Option ignoreHeadless=TRUE but with no luck.

Can somebody help?

Hi ,

I prefer to use the Gen 1 hardware for most of the linux operating system in the Hyper-V.Do you tried to install the ESXi in the Generation 1?

Cool to hear,I've some kind of issue while install and booting up the Centos 7 in Hyper-V Gen2 hardware,I tried to change the Generation from 2 to 1 and re-install.It works!!
