Install HA FDM Agent Manually

Hi All

Just wondering, has anyone had to install the HA FDM Agent manually?

I recently upgrade my vcenter from 5.1 to 5.5 update 1.

The hosts are all 5.1 hosts.

When i try to enable HA i get the following error:

Cannot install the vCenter Server Agent Service. Cannot upload file.

I could remove the old fdm agent and then re-enable HA on the cluster and it should (fingers crossed) install the fdm agent.

But i wanted to know, does anyone know how i would install the fdm agent manually???

i think esxcli software vib install may do the trick, but i dont know what the full command is.

If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

I know when using Image Builder you can add a software depot using the following command

Add-EsxSoftwareDepot http://vcenterip:80/vSphere-HA-depot

But no idea esxcli command.

Thank you for looking and hopefully someone can help.

Thanks

Jit

Only a thought. Do you have the Hypervisor installed on USB/SD? Maybe there's a configuration issue with the scratch location!?
