How-to unprotect a entity ?

I had a trial installation of View that is not compatible with vSphere. When I upgraded everything to vSphere I forgot to first delete the test linked clones.. now the sviConfig complains about the API version is different and refuses do unprotect the entities. I would like to know if there is any workaround to delete those entities without reverting back to VI3.

Thanks.

You should be able to achieve this by removing and re-adding the ESX to VC.

Removing an ESX from VC will remove all associated elements from the VC database, including the view data.

Once this is done you should then be able to remove any remaining elements at the ESX level.

Then add the ESX back to VC.
