I've installed ESX 4.0 onto the Intel S5000SVNSASR - ESX 4.0 easily found my SATA hard drive (ESB2- I/O Controller) and nic cards and the install went almost flawless. However, this board has built in SAS raid chipset (two sas drive in Raid 1) support but ESX 4 is not seeing the controller. The Intel technical specs declare the SAS controller to be model # LSI Logic SAS1064E - and I do see a listed ESX driver for this controller - however, it's obviously a new driver. Where can I get the driver and how do you install (tar the file?) new driver so that ESX can see my SAS drives where I intend to deploy my virtual machines?
