HP P2000 and ESXi connection

Hi everybody:

I'm starting with esxi environment and i have a question:

I have on hp dl360 with two paths to storage HP MSA2000 1GbE iSCSI: anybody knows if it will work with vmk1 directly connected (without switches) to controller A and vmk2 directly connected to controller B configuring multipath?

Hi,

If you are connected to two different controllers you have already setup multipath.

Do it correctly and follow the various guides.

like the above, just follow the setup guide and you will all do fine. why not combined and do multipath with loadbalancing? atleast it provide you availability and performance.

Yes, i'll configure multipath but the question is:

esxi and p2000 will work together correctly without switches (directly connected) and the performance will be increased connecting one NIC to controller A and the otherone to controller B?

No this will not increase performance.

Whether or not it will work, it is not a recommended configuration.
