Guide to Upgrading vCenter from 4.1 to 4.1 Update 1

Normally I would just do the normal steps to upgrade vCenter but I have the Nexus 1000v in place.  This makes me very nervous so I was wondering if there was any new steps that need to take place.

Thanks.

This is for upgrading 4.0 to 4.1.  We're running 4.1 and going to 4.1 update 1.  Would this even be a factor?

the product version supports 4.1.x, so I would assume.  However, you should confirm what build your 1000v should be at

I always like to practice. Clone your vCenter Server and run this in VMware Workstation. Install a virtual ESXi guest or 2 and set it up like your production. (backup and restore the configuration). Can't hurt.

We're running 4.0(4)SV1(3b) which I believe is compatible.

My vCenter is physical....  I suppose I could do a P2V...

My vCenter is Physical as well and P2V works. Nothing quite like first hand experience when it comes time to do the deed.
