A fresh install without update didn't help 😞
Read the vSphere 5.1 Installation and Setup guide. It'll tell you that you need complete network and DNS configuration setup and working before you install vCenter Server 5.1. You need to make sure DNS works forwards and backwards and that the Windows host that you're working on is capable of pinging and doing nslookups on itself. Verify all of that and then try again.

The install didn't finsish and rolls back, so these link don't help.
i think i found the problem , vsphere doesn't like windows 2008 r2 Datacenter edition, with standard edition it seem to work
Clean install on R2 standard. Fails every time.
And yes the iusue was, teh datacenter edition.
So don't install on windows 2008 r2 datacenter edtion but under standard edition.
