Failure on installation of VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi)

I am new to vmware. I am installing this on my Windows 10 Pro desktop, not a server. I am trying to install the vSphere Client to setup a Storage Gateway in AWS.

I downloaded the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi ISO) image and created a bootable USB. When booting from the USB I selected the ESXi-7.OU3n-21930508-standard Installer. It installs VMware ESXi 7.0.3, but when it comes to the end a modal pops up stating

"No Network Adapters were detected. Either no network adapters are physically connected to the system, or a suitable driver could not be located. A third party driver may be required. Ensure that there is at least one network adapter physically connected to the system before attempting installation." My only option is to cancel the installation at this point.

What steps can I take to resolve this issue? I have not installed any other vmware up to this point.

Thanks in advance

Step 1, check if your NIC has a driver: https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=io

You might have to add another NIC that is supported.

Hopefully you can assist me in using your link. Attached is a screenshot of my network connections. I did try and enable the SonicWall NIC and reboot from the USB, but I received the same message.

Search the compatibility tool for the specific NICs in your system.

Given that ESXi is intended to run on server hardware, I expect that the Realtek NIC from your screenshot is the most likely to be supported.

That network adapter isn't working so I will have to install a new one that is compatible. I selected ESXi 7.0 for the Product Release Version and I/O Device Type as Network. I will choose from the list.
