A vSphere infrastructure based on a vSphere vCenter 5.5 server included an ESXi 5.0 host.
We upgraded the host to ESXi 5.5 U3 and after upgrading we were unable to access it from the vCenter due to an error and a message like "Call "Datacenter.QueryConnectionInfo" for object "<datacenter-name>" on vCenter Server "<vcenter-name>" failed.".
We suspected an upgrade error so we re-installed ESXi 5.5 U3 from scratch on the same host, but we still get the same error.
Can the problem depend on a network/firewall problem?
The IPv4 address are ok, while IPv6 is not used at all.
Given an ESXi 5.5 U3 host installed from scratch, is there any confnguration te be done in order to allow the host to be joined to a vSphere infrastructure?
