ESXi 5.5 does not support Adaptec RAID Controllers 7805, 5805Z etc.

Hi

I'm surprised that only a few RAID Controllers from Adaptec are on the VMware Compatibility Guides for ESXi 5.5

The cheap controller 2405 is compatible for ESXi 5.5

5805 is also compatible, but 5805Z is not (the difference is only the Zero-Maintenance Cache).

The newer controller 7805 is not compatible for ESXi 5.5

Does somebody knows why and when this will change?

I would say, best answer will come from Adaptec, it is upto them when they approach VMware to certify this controller.
