ESXi 5.5 Install Emulex 10GBit NIC Driver

I'm trying to setup up vSphere for the first time and I'm having a problem install ESXi on a host. The default ESXi doesn't seem to come with the drivers for my 10GB ethernet NIC's from emulex. I therefore used ESXi-Customizer to insert the current emulex LAN drivers (ver 10.*). The ESX installer will now proceed past the drive partitioning, but it errors out with an error about this new driver "obsoleting" an old be2net emulex driver. Do I need to remove this VIB, and if so how?

I saw that before, but unfortunately, the installer won't get started if it doesn't detect any NICs. I took the VIB from that link and included it in an ESXi custom image, as described above.
