ESXUPDATe

I want to install my first patch to a VSphere host. I'm not a Linux guy so I have a couple question. Actually, I'd like a basic walkthrough on how to do it. The patch I want to install is ESX400-200909001.zip. I've downloaded it. Now what? I can put it on a CD, USB drive whatever but I'm a little confused as to the syntax. Do I need to mount this device and look for it there?

Excuse my ignorance on this but I'd rather ask than screw something up.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll probably give it a shot tomorrow and hope for the best.

Thanks again.
