ESXI 4.1 , 348481 Question about datastore not be able to use all the free space?

I am working on installing ESXi 4.1 on a Dell R710 with 3.7TB using SATA Drives, RAID 5. My issue is when I go to create my Datastore it shows that I have 3.7TB of free space. I tell it to use all but the datastore comes out as 1.63TB. I deleted that and made a 1TB Datastore but when I went to create another it would not give me the option to use the rest of the free space. I am really green when it comes to setting up VMWARE so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Don

Hello.

The max size for a single volume will need to be 2 TB - 512 bytes, as detailed in kb 3371739.  Use the Dell RAID utilities to carve up the storage into volumes this size or smaller.

Good Luck!
