I currently have two ESX 3.5 servers running along w/ Lab Manager 2.5. We didnt buy virtualcenter since we manage everything through lab manager. We recently renewed our support contract, hence allowing us to upgrade to vsphere for free. However, a few months ago while on a support call, the technician had advised us to upgrade to 4 since support for 3.5 would be obsolete. In addition, he mentioned, Lab Manager v3 required vCenter. is this correct? Do i need to buy virtual center to run lab manager? I would prefer virtual center to manage the two servers instead of using Lab manager. we have lab manager for my QA folks who require access to their VMs.
LM3 does require vCenter.
