Confused about Update1 and esxcli VIB or Profile install

Our update manager has been flaky so I have decided to push 5.1 U1 via esxcli. I have done it a long time ago, but the proflie install seems new.

So for the Zip bundle once I upload it, should i "esxcli software profile update(not install)" or "esxcli software vib install" ??

And if using the profile install, I assume I am going to use the standare profile with NO "s"---in others everything--not just the security patches.

I had decided to do the profile image update. I notice afterwards that the Image profile in Vcenter still listed the original GA 5.1 build. Doing an image compliance check I can see why:

Profile Validation Result

   Compliant: false

   Host Image Profile: (Updated) ESXi-5.1.0-799733-standard

   VIBs in Host Image Profile Only: VMware_bootbank_vmware-fdm_5.1.0-799731

   Validation Profile: ESXi-5.1.0-20130402001-standard

Is there some vib missing? This particular host was a clean build from 5.1,,and has had all the previousl patches applied before U1.

Ok I figured this out,,,my Vcenter was not updated to U1 yet--and this is the older HA agent.
