Changing Tomcat sizing settings in vSphere 5.1, no GUI anymore

Hi all,

I am looking for information on changing the Tomcat settings "Initial memory pool", "Maximum memory pool" and "Thread stack" in vSphere 5.1. In vCenter 5.0 and earlier this can be done through a GUI (Start > All Programs > VMware > VMware Tomcat > Configure Tomcat.) but in vCenter 5.1 this is not available anymore. It looks like I need to edit the wrapper.conf for the various components but I can't find what to change/add in these files.

Regards,

AlfredJ

Starting with vCenter Server 5.1, VMware Tomcat Server settings can no longer be configured through the Windows user interface at Start > Programs > VMware > VMware Tomcat.

You need to modify wrapper.conf for the same.

Please go through http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=202130...

Thank you SatyS, but I already found that information.

Unfortunately the article only tells me to adjust the various wrapper.conf files, it is not telling me what entries to change or add.

You can configure Tomcat by modifying Wrapper.conf as mentioned before and edit these lines :

wrapper.java.initmemory=3

wrapper.java.maxmemory=64

Hope this helped , let me know if you need any more help .
