Cannot open the disk '....' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on, Reason: is not a Virtual Disk

Hi, i have a problem after Upgrade Esx3.5 to Esx4, my problem is only with a Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition, after upgrade, my vm not start, and receive Error, in the object.

Cannot open the disk '/vmfs/volumes/Storage1/win2003/Windows 2003 Standard edition.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on, Reason: is not a Virtual Disk

Can I help me?

This Problem block my Customer, I have Upgrade Other Esx Server, and i never have a problem like this

As a first step please attach the vmx file, vmsd file and a list of the files in the datastore (either "ls -l" or a hardcopy of the datastore).

Was the VM shut down when you updated the ESX server or was it suspended?
