COPY

Hi,

We have some data that we need to copy to datastore , however the process is taking tooo long for 1 TB almost it sayd 3-4 days

We have connected the USB disk to the server on which vcenter virtual machine  is running, and through vcenter we are trying to copy data from USB disk to datastore that sits on storage.

Is there any other way through which data transfer can be made faster?

USB 2.0 max thoughput is round about 40 mbps. Ethernet transfer rate is about 300 mbps for a 10g link. Easiest way would have been to copy the file to your local machine and uploading it over the network. However copy over to local machine would also be slow via USB. So it's more of the chicken and egg situation here.
