Best NTP server virtual appliance

Hi,

I would like to build a lab, I need to install an NTP server appliance as a virtual machine,

Is there any Ready-to-use virtual appliance to implement it as a virtual machine in the ESXi environment ?

if there's, what is the best one, and what about the free ones ?

this appliance it is a little outdated, anyway it should work fine: http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/210 Another option is to build a custom linux vm to run the ntp service.

Build a base Ubuntu Server VM and follow this short guide here. Then point all of your devices that you require NTP to be configured on to the Ubuntu VM. All done.

One thing to remember is if you are using a virtual machine as the time authoritative time source for your VM's is that if they are taking to physical machines the NTP server needs to be pointing to a proper time-source to keep time in balance.
