All,
This morning we atttempted to move/copy a virtual host from one VCenter (c3.5) to a VCenter (V4) running on another campus.
We powered off the particular host, downloaded the files assocuated th that host to a local drive, then uploaded them to the
remote VCenter. We added that virtual host to the remote VCenter, and powered on the Server.
The Server is a NetWare SLES10sp3 with OES2sp2. The Server powered on, I could log in as my user. I changed the IP address
for its' new location, and I saw that my NSS volumes were totally empty. I could see the name of the volume in /media/nss/DATA
but there were no files.
Is there some white paper that details the steps I should have taken to complete this task? We'll be wanting to do this in the
future for DR purposes, so we need to figure this out.
If you need more information, please ask.
thanks
Loren
