5.5.0 to 5.5.0b Upgrade fails

Hi.

I'm trying to upgrade from 5.5.0 to 5.5.0b.

As normally (and what was done when upgrading from 5.1.0a to 5.5.0) and ran Simple Install.

It fails with the following error:

VMWARE UPGRADE 5.5.0B.JPG

Any Clues?

And I'm certain that I have mounted the correct ISO.

What happens if you select them individually?

Hi.

The ISO file is correct. I even downloaded it once more to a different folder and tried with the same result.

When I try the Custom Install, it start to install vCenter Single Sign-On and asks me to close some services before it's most likely will continue.

My concern is that, when running Custom, it dos not choose , by default, the settings that is within the Simple Install settings.

Regards,

T.

By default it is the same settings as the Simple install - it just gives you the option to change them if you wish.

It detects the current install directory and upgrades it.

Similarly, if you originally choose 'custom install' and choose non-default directories, then choose 'simple install' for your upgrade, it will upgrade the components in their non-default locations.
