vmfs datastoe on a nfs share

Hi Friends,

I am trying to create vms on a nfs share.

I exported one nfs mount point from a linux server and successfully added to the esx server.

But i am not able to format it as vmfs volume.

Please let me know what are the work around to create vms on a nfs share.

Regards,

Arumon

nfs supports to create VMs, no need to create vmfs on nfs and it is impossible

binoche, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA

Check under Configuration / Storage if your see your NFS share.

You cannot format it, you have only to use as a datastore for your VMs.
