    Need advice on stripe size..

I am confused. The more i read, the more confused i get.

    Box: MSA2000 G3 24x300GB SAS

Wich stripe size to choose for terminal servers running office 2007?

Wich stripe size to choose for file servers?

    Either on 12 Disk raid 10 or 12 disk raid 5 ..

    Thanks

Honestly, neither TS nor file services tend to be very IO intensive, and tend not to do repetative IO with consistent block sizes (like SQL or Oracle does).  Pretty much any stripe size will work fine, I'd leave it at the defaults.

If you are really worried (and you dont need to be), just benchmark it.

Well defaults are 64 kb. But i have a feeling that is too small.. So i wanted to hear what others were doing :smileyhappy:

I usually leave the stripe size at the controller's default value, unless there's a Best Practice recommendation from the storage vendor.
