require APIs for VMFS snapshot

Hi All,

I have a requirement to take the snapshot for entire VMFS datastore which is confugured in an iSCSI target/FCOE target LUNS. Is VMware providing any apis for this? I have seen VADP ( vStorage APIs for Data Protection ) which is to take snapshot of VMs. But my requirement is for entire VMFS datastore.

I would greatly appreciate  your help.

No, VMFS does not provide this.  If you need to do this, you need a storage array that supports it.
