performance diference between vmkfstools and vcenter

Hi,

when I clone in vcenter  it takes more than 10 minutes, but when I do a test of clone the same  thing on the command prompt it takes 2.5 minutes......

~ # time vmkfstools -i /vmfs/volumes/ESXI-UCS/XenApp/XenApp.vmdk /vmfs/volumes/ESXI-UCS/XenApp/XenApp1.vmdk
Destination disk format: VMFS zeroedthick
Cloning disk '/vmfs/volumes/ESXI-UCS/XenApp/XenApp.vmdk'...
Clone: 100% done.
real    2m 27.78s
user    0m 1.16s
sys    0m 0.00s

Same ESXi host same SUN.

What can be my problem ?

Thank you,

Paulo
