fc storage!

Hi,

i want to creat a lun in FC storage, but I don't know what application to use to create lun. Can any one suggest me?

i want to see the lun in ESX 3.5 SERVER like vmhba datastore.

such as FC storage management UI should create luns for you, please contact your storage vendor; it is nothing to do with ESX;

for ESX seeing your luns, FC storage management UI must lun masking to esx fc hba

Which kind of storage do you have?

Remember that there are also other setup activities related to FC storage, like switch zoning.

You want to emulate a FC storage with a server?

I think is not possible.

Use NFS or iSCSI instead.

But for production I suggest to use only real storage, not software/emulated storage.

In addition to Andre, if you plan to use software storage, then think of Openfiler or freeNAS

Well I was not talking about FC target (this can't be done with "software"). Openfiler/freeNAS can be used as NAS storages (iSCSI,NFS for using with VMWare).
