i inherited a system.   hosts are in a cluster, but the datastores are not.

can i just create a datastore cluster and add those datastores without interrupting the running VMs?

    Hi  ,

Purpose of datastore cluster would be to enable storage DRS and manage workloads between datastores. It's similar to how DRS manages workloads between different ESXi hosts in a cluster. Yes, you can enable datastore cluster without affecting VMs.

Datastore cluster requirements --> Datastore Cluster requirements

May I know what are we trying to achieve ?
